Downtown, inside shops in the Market District, Royal Square and WeCo. You get the shop and the address when you are booked. Most shows run after the shop closes. Street parking is free after 5 pm.

I am at York College or Penn State York. Does this fit?

Yes. Both campuses are minutes from downtown. Shifts are two hours, most in the late afternoon or evening. Tell us your class hours and we book around them.

Is First Friday a good first shift?

It is the best one in the city. The shop is open, the street is full, and the show has a crowd in the room. If you can work First Fridays, say so when you apply.

You are paid for every shift you work. When a show sells well there is a bonus on top. We tell you both numbers before your first shift, not after.

Downtown York has three districts. The Market District is around Central Market and North George Street. Royal Square is galleries, makers and shops a few blocks east. WeCo is the west end along Market Street. All three have the kind of small shops that a live show was built for.

The first Friday of every month, 5 to 8:30 pm
Shops in all three districts stay open with music, openings and specials. The street is full. A shop that goes live on a First Friday has a crowd in the room and one on the phone.
York State Fair
July 24 to August 2, 2026
Ten days with the whole county at the fairgrounds. Downtown shops that go live that week reach the fair crowd on their phones at night.
The holiday run downtown
Late November through December
Small Business Saturday opens the season downtown. Shops hold the most stock of the year then. They want it moving on camera after close.
