Local On Live

How to sell on TikTok live.

Two different people search this. One owns a shop and wants their stock sold. The other wants to be the person on camera.

The answers are different, so here are both.

If you own a shop

You need a TikTok Shop. That has no follower minimum. You also need a way to broadcast. That does.

The broadcast is the hard part. You can build an account to 1,000 followers first. Or someone can broadcast for you from an account that already counts.

Once you are live, people buy inside the app. Nobody has to leave TikTok.

If you want to host live shows

You do not need your own following. Hosts work on agency accounts that already meet the rule.

You need to be 18 or older. You need to be fine talking to a camera for two hours. And you need to show up.

Caring about the products beats being polished. People buy from someone who knows the thing they are holding.

What a live show actually involves

Someone holds a product up and turns it over. They say what it is like. Viewers ask questions and the host answers.

Products get pinned. Viewers tap and buy without leaving the stream.

It runs about two hours. Any shorter and not enough people find it.

Common questions

Do I need 1,000 followers to sell?
To open a shop, no. To broadcast a live show from your own account, yes. Those are two different rules.
Can I do this from home?
You can. But a shop's stock sells better in the shop. The stock is there, and so is someone who knows it.
How long should a live show be?
About two hours. Viewers arrive all the way through, so a short live never builds an audience.

Which one are you?

We work with shops that want their stock sold, and we hire the people who sell it.
